Single Adults
Our singles ministry reaches out to all singles. Regardless of age, whether you're divorced, widowed, or have never been married, you will find friends to relate to and have fun with. If you are single and looking for a comfortable, friendly place to get plugged into, hang out, have fun, make friends, and grow in Christ, please know that you are welcome here.
Christian Education
Every Sunday morning at 9:30, classes are offered for all ages to gain more understanding about God's Word. We believe that our lives must be built on a strong biblical foundation. Our Christian education ministry will help you become all that God created you to be.
Outreach Ministry
Knowing that God said to be witnesses of His saving love and grace causes us as a church to look for ways to connect with people and share the gospel with them while ministering to their needs. Currently, we are reaching out to people through our prison ministry, food pantry ministry, and our clothing closet ministry. Also, each year we partner with other churches in the Charleston area and participate in the "Convoy of Hope" outreach.
Women's Ministries
Our women's ministry is a blending of women from 18 and up that meet together monthly to fellowship and study God's Word while learning how to apply it to the issues that uniquely confront women on a daily basis. There is never a time that our ladies get together that they don't come back laughing more than they did before they went. Our ladies ministry also includes yearly trips to women's retreats as well as various ministry opportunities in outreach. Ladies, you need this ministry!
Men's Ministry
On a monthly basis, the men of First Assembly come together to enjoy a deliciously prepared "country" breakfast, fellowship and encouragement from the Word of God. Every man, young and old alike, are invited to this great time of food and fellowship on the last Saturday morning of each month at
Married Couples
This fellowship ministry will bring you together with other married couples for monthly outings that will cause you to laugh, relax, and simply have fun.
Prayer Ministry
Without prayer we will never accomplish what God has called us to do. Prayer must be a priority. You will find a weekly menu of prayer opportunities at First Assembly. There is an intercessory prayer class that meets on Sunday mornings during Sunday school, Monday night prayer, Ladies prayer on Tuesday morning as well as other times that people meet for prayer. We also pray for people in our altars each week during our services. If you would like to join one of these prayer groups, please contact our church office for additional information.
